Here Comes Rocket!

Wind whipping through his mane and tail, the ground flying underneath him. He bellows out finding someone to be with, listening as his bellow echos through the vally. He bolts full speed searching as he goes.

Rocket skidded to a stop, he reared up letting out a another loud bellow. He landed with a thud, he pricked his ears listening to the birds singing their tunes and hearing carfully for another reply of another horse. He walked foward still with his ears on alert for a neigh of some sort.

A booming whinny rang cross the blue skies, sending the birds into a fenzy and spooking the small creatures that hid within the forest. Scampering feet and flapping wings joined the echoing cry, filling the world with sound. Then, as quickly as the cacophony had begun, all fell silent again. Listening as the final whispers of the call faded, Kyda sighed irritably to herself. Was there no where she could be alone? Walking through the forest with silent steps, she was at its edge in moments and peering out from the shadows, hoping that the whinny had not belonged to one of the wicked Brulthen. Her keen eyes scanned the plains that stretched away before her until they fell at last on a tall horse, his head held high and expression alert. Sighing to herself again, Kyda was seconds away from turning around when a crow cawed loudly above her. The sound was fierce against the silence and she tensed up, knowing the stallion would have heard the sound and would be looking this way.

Rocket looked towards the noise of the crow, he looked down from the sky to see another horse at the edge of the forest line. He nickered out greeting the horse wondering if it was mare or stallion. He pranced forward alittle to get a better look of the horse, he stopped a few feet from her and lowered his head.

Flicking her ears with annoyance, Kyda grunted softly to herself and stepped out from the shadows of the forest, head low and neck arched. Built rather like a stallion, she relaxed her neck and nickered quietly to the horse, whipping her dark tail against her flanks and legs. She had no idea who this stallion was, but he didn't seem hostile and she doubted he was one of the Brulthen. Lifting her head, she narrowed her eyes and looked more closely at him.

Rocket threw his head up "hello im Rocket....And you are?" he asked politely. His eyes flickered over the beautiful mares coat then back at her face. He smiled slighty waiting for an answer.

A little annoyed by the Rocket's loud and cheery greeting, Kyda grunted again and took a step back. "Kyda..." she replied uncertainly, wondering what on earth she was getting into. In the silence that followed she quickly scanned the fields around her, flicking her ears as she listened for any sounds. Finally, her gaze returned to Rocket and she lifted her head. "What brings you all the way out here?" she asked him, still not entirely sure he was harmless.

Rocket cocked his head to the side confused as he heard annoyness in her voice. He let his forelock hang over his eyes while he answered her question "I live here by myself", he said saddly. His eyes fell to something black that moved among the bushes.
